Grace?

The ministry is called Grace Nation right…? Well then I think it would be appropriate to discuss what grace is and also discuss some common questions some people may have about grace.

Grace is an amazing thing that a human mind cannot fully understand, sure we can understand the overall point, but we cannot fully grasp the entire concept of grace. Why? you ask, well because our minds are very limited, but God’s mind knows all!

Well, grace in it’s simplest form is, that through Jesus’s death on the cross we were provided grace, we were given grace. It’s important to understand that we did nothing to deserve this grace, it is a free gift of God that has nothing to do with our actions. I can donate $1,000 to a church and live a healthy life and do a bunch of good deeds and I will not deserve grace anymore than the person next to me, who may not be living an all that pleasing life. That is why it is a gift! Without grace God’s just judgment and wrath would be on us, but since Jesus died on the cross he is our advocate, so that God sees us(People who have accepted Him as personal Lord and savior) as righteous.

1 John 2:1-2

 ————————————————————————————————————–
This verse describes Gods grace so well, John is telling us NOT to sin, however he knows that that is impossible.(So why does he tell us not to sin? well if we are living a gospel centered life we should be giving every effort to live as Jesus did) So he goes on to say, that when we do sin that we have an advocate in heaven sitting at the right hand of God. Jesus is the propitiation for OUR sins. YOUR SINS no matter how bad they are, God sees sin in the same way, there is no weight. This verse for me just gives me such joy, knowing that when I mess up I personally have an advocate in heaven at the right hand of God.
So does everybody on earth automatically get this GRACE?
– Well the answer upfront is no, BUT it is FREE, and as it says in Romans all you have to do is proclaim with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and you will be saved. So you are not born with this grace, but when we make the decision to open the door to God we can get it! God gives it to us we do nothing to earn or deserve it.
Ok, well then if I don’t have this grace then how do I get it?
– Well its pretty simple, take a look at this;
 ————————————————————————————————————–
Romans 10 : 9-10
 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

Wow does that just give you hope or what?
It is my prayer that if you don’t understand this, or it seems confusing to ask questions! we would be more than happy to help you through this! this is the best decision that you will make in your life. It guarantees you a place in the book of life, and in Heaven for eternity!
