What is the Greater Victory?
As Christians we are called to live a life that is bigger than ours. How is that possible? Well today we are going to answer that question, and how we condition our mind to focus on the greater victory.
So what is the “Greater Victory,” well it is simply conditioning your mind to constantly remind yourself that in the end you will be with God in heaven for the rest of your life! When we think about how long eternity is, we notice how small 80 years of our life on this earth is.
So lets compare these two principals(Eternity and Earthly Life), its important to note that your life on this earth is not pointless just because it is short, but its quite the opposite, the fact that your earthly life is so short, stresses the importance, of living a life that directs all glory back to God, and sharing the Gospel.
18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Now if you didn’t know this is the great commission, this is Jesus telling the disciples what to do next. Its also a command to us as follows of Jesus to go out to all the nations. However I also want to point out the verse above, because it has a lot to do with achieving the greater victory.

Ok so lets dissect this verse for a second, Jesus is saying, that everyone who has power in heaven and on earth has been given their power by Me[God].
Well what does that have to do with going out and sharing the gospel to the nations?
Well if every authority figure has been granted their power by God, then why are we scared to go unto all the nations and share the gospel, even in places where Christians are persecuted. If god put that authority figure in power then what is there to be scared of? DEATH? Please, as Paul said, to die is gain, why did he say this, because he knew that if he wasn’t on this earth he would be with God. You see there is not one thing to be scared of because Gods plan, Gods victory, is greater than our plan and our victory.

So what is the Greater Victory?
Its knowing that Gods will, will be done on this earth, and knowing that when our time comes we will be spending eternity with our heavenly father.
However it does not stop there. Its one thing to know what the Greater Victory is, its another thing to apply it to our daily lives.
The first step is constantly reminding ourselves of what the Greater Victory actually is, I suggest setting an alarm on your phone, once a day, and setting that time as a mandatory greater victory remind period.
The next step is changing other ways you think, mainly the negativity aspect. When you focus your mind on positive things you will see a massive change in the way you act during your day.
Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable–if anything is excellent or praiseworthy–think about such things.
I am reading a book, and it refers to this as the 4:8 principle, and when we change the way we think to things of the earth, to things that are true, noble, right, etc… We see life change.

So are you going to live for the tiny red part of your life? Or are you going to look at the Greater Victory and know that you have amazing things waiting for you. Eternity is waiting for you, and you are forgiven.
That my friend is the Greater Victory
