College?

What has the first week of college taught me?

Well for those of you who don’t know yet, I have just completed my first week of college at Trinity College of Florida! What a blessing it has been to be able to have the privilege to go to a school that teaches thee Bible and its truths. I cannot begin to express the gratitude that I have for my parents who have allowed me to come here and study theology, and for my awesome family that has been supporting me through the entire process. Thank you all so much and I love you!

Well, I have learned a lot about the Bible already! Like a lot, and that’s awesome and I love learning and expanding my knowledge on the truths that the Bible has stuffed in it!

It’s almost like a sermon every class that you go to, (not exactly, but pretty close!) The work load is also a lot heavier than what I am use to, but its awesome because I am learning about stuff I love, so I don’t mind all the readings and papers that I am required to complete.

One thing that I was weary of before coming to college, and have been earnestly praying about for the past months is that I would not get burn out of the Bible. that is the last thing that I want to happen while I am here studying. It is so easy to fall into that trap. You are basically in the Bible all day, I can honestly say about 80% of our week day is compromised of Bible reading and studying, WHICH IS AWESOME, however I want to be able to remain in awe of God and of His sovereignty, while I am here. Thankfully I have a great apartment full of guys who truly live in complete reverence of Gods word everyday, and we are able to keep each other accountable to remain in Gods word and awed by His majesty. Even our Profs have given us some awesome tips to make sure that the Bible remains the most important book in our lives. the Bible needs to be a book read from the perspective of God speaking to a sinner through grace, and not read like a textbook.

I know it is only my first week in college, but God has already revealed Himself to me in some awesome ways and I am positive that more is to follow. So my prayer request to you guys is to pray that I keep the bible and God is the proper perspective!

Do you guys have prayer requests? If so feel free to send me an email via, Contact Us Form. Everything sent in through that form is completely confidential and private.

I love you guys!
