Thought of the Week, 1/23
Iron Sharpens Iron
Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another. Proverbs 27:17
One of the biggest things that I have grown to see is the importance of the body and the importance of the people who you are currently walking next to in your walk with Christ. It has been one of the most encouraging things to see when I’ve been faced with struggling times. To get to watch the body of Christ gather around those who are currently hurting or are going through something that is difficult for them to go through.
And let us be concerned about one another in order to promote love and good works, Hebrews 10:24
It talks here in Hebrews about even how we are called to help push, to encourage one another to promote love and to promote one another to good works. To continuously point each other to
love, to not try and do our walk on our own but to encourage one another when we see someone going through something difficult or honestly at moments where they just need someone to come alongside them and remind them how much we’re loved.
Dear Lord, I pray that you continuously provide us with the opportunity to be surrounded by brothers and sisters in Christ and that you give us these people to surrounded by in the times we need them the most. In Jesus Name Amen
