Thought of the Week 2/19

We are in a period of time where the idea of Love has become very misinterpreted and has a lot of confusion around it. One of the biggest reasons for this confusion is the culture around us and how they are telling us different things about Love and what it is and isn’t. I just wanted to look at what Scripture says about Love in one of the most famous passages. Gaining a very basic understanding of Love is key to even trying to understand a glimpse of God’s love and the love that he has for us.

Love is patient, love is kind. Love does not envy, is not boastful, is not conceited, does not act improperly, is not selfish, is not provoked, and does not keep a record of wrongs. Love finds no joy in unrighteousness but rejoices in the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends. But as for prophecies, they will come to an end; as for languages, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will come to an end. 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 (HCSB)

It’s something simple that we have made difficult.

Dear Lord, I pray that whoever reads this knows that they are loved more than they could imagine by you and I pray that you would reveal and let them see even a glimpse of that love Lord, Amen
