Proverbs 3:5-6
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”

Leaning has the sense of putting all your weight on something, resting on and trusting in that person or thing right?? glad we are on the same page, when big decisions come up and you feel like you can’t trust anyone — not even God. You go and try to trust yourself BUT this is what scripture tells us NOT to do. We must not be wise in our own eyes because our own understanding simply will not bear the full weight of reality. It was never intended to! only God can handle such knowledge. It is insane to trust such limited understanding when one can trust unlimited understanding of God. Bring your decisions to God in prayer then follow His leading, He will make your paths straight. Receiving God’s guidance, Solomon saids, we must acknowledge God in all our ways. This means turning every area of life over to him, Jesus emphasizes this same truth (Matthew 6:33) look at your values and priorities. Ask yourself what is important to you? what areas have you not acknowledged him? make Him a vital part of everything you do, then he will guide you because you will be working to accomplish his purposes.

So let’s choose joy today and not lean on our own understanding but trusting on the sure foundation of our loving Creator’s omniscience
