Christ in our Struggles | Bayli Webb
“That day when evening came, he said to his disciples, “Let is go over to the other side.” Leaving the crowd behind, they took him along, just as he was, in the boat. There were also other boats with him. A furious squall came up, and the waves broke over the boat, so that it was nearly swamped.”
Problems occur in everyday life but God is working in those circumstances of our lives. In Mark 4:35-37 the disciples needed rest but they encountered a “fierce windstorm” there is a crucial detail here it was Jesus who led them into the storm! this was not accidental and this did not catch God off guard. Daniel L. Akin saids “We should not be alarmed by surprises in our lives. They are divinely ordained moments whereby God is working in the everyday circumstances of our lives to reveal who He is, who we are and who we need! Trails and tribulations, difficulties and desperate moments are when God does His greatest work in our lives.” When we are facing these harder times we should be thankful and we should be preparing for other storms that will surely come. Do not surrender to all the stress but remain resilient and recover from setbacks. With faith in christ, start praying for the storm ahead. When a Squall is approaching lean into God and trust Him, He is our Savior and Rescuer.
