I recently recorded a podcast on God’s Provision and it has received some amazing feedback and people were asking me to write a pairing article for that episode. If you have not had an opportunity to listen to that epsiode you can do so below.
As I discussed in the episode, I was involved in a decent sized car accident, leaving me with a concussion and major soreness in my neck and back. I am perfectly healthy and the LORD has overwhelming provided for me in this process.
About 6 years ago I was involved in a much more dangerous car accident, one that was my fault, and one that should have been lethal. However, I am sitting here writing this, God saved me in the most literal sense, he kept me from dying that day. I was destroyed, although I was safe and alive, I was crushed, my emotional state was sent into spirals, all I could do was sit on the curb and cry, and cry, and cry. The Lord placed me in that accident for seemingly endless reasons, all of which have been used to point me back to the Lord. I am certain that I have not seen all of the reasons as to why I crashed that day, but all of the ones that I have seen, have been used to point me to the Lord. I wouldn’t be in seminary, I wouldn’t have a podcast, I wouldn’t have this website, and I wouldn’t be in vocational ministry.
The Lord time and time again, has continued to provide for me. WhenI was in my most recent accident aI saw a new level of God’s provision, I think I saw its true purpose. I saw God’s previous provision in my life, extend to those who needed help.
Gods provision is not to stop with you, but is intended to bring glory to God through the way that it extends through you to others.
Philippians 4:19 “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”
I want to challenge you this week. Where in your life do you see God providing for you? Financially? Emotionally? Spiritually? Health? Positionally? and how are you using the things both physical and spiritual to provide for others?
