Great is Thy Faithfulness
It has been a hot minute since I have had the opportunity to write, and I need to sincerely apologize for not posting as much as I should. I want to pick back up, work on my writing, and begin posting engaging content.
This past week I had the opportunity to work in Lynch Kentucky, a small coal mining town that you have more than likely never heard of. It was a challenging trip to say the least, I was being tested, things did not seem to go my way, yet the Lord was faithful, even when I reacted in unfaithfulness.
I think that is the crazy thing, Christians know and assume that God is faithful, it is something that we hear in sermons, that we sing in songs, and that we may experience every so often, but for whatever reason, we do not expect the Lord’s faithfulness, and I do not know why.
I fall into this trap of “Oh, well if I am faithful maybe the Lord will bless me” and in those moments, in those moments of thinking the Lord never blesses me, but when I am at the end, hurting, about to give up, not knowing where to turn, when I am unfaithful, the Lord returns with faithfulness. That humbled me, hard.
You see the people in Lynch taught me to pray, to pray right. They pray as if God has already said yes, their hearts are so aligned with the Lord’s that he hardly ever says no. Mainly because anything that is prayed according to the will of God he will not say no to.
This week as God to align your heart with his, and pray BOLD and BIG prayers, watch the Lord work, both in your heart and in your life.
